Background

Foxhole Farm

The Site

The Mid Sussex Local Plan Review (2024) proposes to allocate the land at Foxhole Farm for 200 dwellings and associated facilities, recognising the site is an appropriate location for new development, in keeping with local and national planning policy.

The site adjoins the western edge of Bolney, running parallel to the Street. The site meets the A272 Cowfold Road at its southern boundary and a new vehicular access will be provided into the site as this point. Pedestrians and cyclists will also be able to enter the site at two new connection points along The Street which, will connect directly into the new public open space and community hub.

There are no landscape or heritage designations affecting the site itself, and it is located entirely within Flood Zone 1 (the lowest level of flood risk).

It is well documented that we are facing a housing crisis in this country. These proposals have sought to carefully balance the pressing need for new market and affordable housing against the characteristics of the site and the village setting of Bolney.

Our proposals represent a genuine landscape led approach to masterplanning and have been designed to deliver a scheme which is sensitive to the settlement structure of Bolney and the setting of local heritage assets.

The proposed development delivers much more than just housing, and these benefits will be accessible for the whole community.

More details of the scheme can be found throughout this website and we invite you to submit your feedback as we continue to shape these proposals.
